great local club good entainment, very clean club, very resonable drink prices, only bad comment would be a very rude barman on m onday evening shift ,makes it seem a real effort to serve you rather than being polite.will put new people of going..

Really good house, lived here for the past year and loved every day. You will have a great laugh if you live here, with a massive garden and huge communal rooms. Only thing I would say is the kitchen does get a bit of a state!

  • Imax Cinema, Mothballs wrote 18 years ago:
Opened in 2002 on the site of popular Pier Approach swimming baths, the Imax cinema was an expensive but ill-conceived project that failed to arouse much local interest and which subsequently closed its doors in 2005. Locally, the building is widely regarded as an 'eyesore' and at one time was voted Britain's second ugliest building. As you can imagine, it is constantly under disussion with a view to replacing it with something more useful to the town. However, recent propsals have included constructing a casino in its place.
